Have a Wonderful Summer and Congratulations to all of our Graduates!!

The Penfield Leos Club will be donating $500 in proceeds from the Penfield Idol Contest to the Charlie Cote Music Scholarship Fund! Thank you all for supporting our event and we look forward to doing it again next year!

We would like to thank everyone who supported our Winter Wear Drive. With your generosity we were able to collect 473 assorted coats, hats, gloves, scarves and boots. The charities that received these donations were again Veteran's Outreach, Salvation Army and Casa. Here are some pictures from the sorting party (click to enlarge)

     

Activities :

Our Leo Club was formed in October of 2001 and we were officially charterd March of 2002 by the Penfield Lions Club. Some of our past activities have included:
  Arranging a concert where proceeds were donated to our local food shelf
  Holding Valentine's Day Parties with a Game-A-Thon at a local senior residence.
  Collected 283 videos and donated them to Rochester General Hospital Pediatric Unit
  Face painting and working with the Penfield Lions at the Festival of Lights Ceremony.
  Working with the Penfield Lions at the Annual Santa Breakfast.
  Assisting at the Penfield Country Fair Days.
  Participating yearly in a Bowl-a-thon fundraiser for Upstate Guide Dog.
  Dance to bennefit Shepherd Home.
  Dinner tour with the Penfield Lions at ABVI.
  Assisted the Penfield Lions at their "Fine Art Auction"

Some of our 2004/5 activities have included the following:
  Upstate Guide Dog Bowl-a-thon (raising close to $300 again)
  Held a winter wear collection to bennefit Veteran's Outreach, Salvation Army and Casa where 206 items were collected and donated.
  Held a spaghetti dinner to raise funds for Tsunami relief and donated $600
  Penfield Idol Contest where proceeds totaled $726 which is being donated to Heifer

Thank You to all who come and support our events, we couldn't do it without you!

Other upcomming events are:

  10/4- First meeting for the school year
  12/2- Community Festival of Lights
  12/10- Santa Breakfast at Baytrail Middle School

Congratulations to Alyssa and Cat for winning our 2nd Penfield Idol Contest! Thank you also to all the contestants as you were outstanding and made this event a huge success!

The Penfield Leos Club collected donations for the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm during Country Fair Days. They face painted, did temporary tattoos and made animal Mardi Gras mask with the children attending the two day event. They were successful in collecting a total of $211.22 which was presented to Lollypop on Friday September 3, 2004.
